Guatemala Acatenango Gesha Lot 2, 8 oz bag
The Gesha cultivar is an old coffee type from Ethiopia that was brought to an experimental garden in Costa Rica Years ago. WHen spread to a few farms and blended with other plant no one thought anything of it. Until Esmeralda in Panama separated it and entered into the national competition. It was so outrageously different, with fruited and floral characters like a Yirga Cheffe coffee. Now spread out this cultivar expresses itself differently depending on weather, soil, altitude and the like. This is a trilling crop - floral scents, tropical fruit, intense sweetness - a cup of Gesha all the way. Unique to this lot is the surprisingly juicy body, a weight that supports the intense cup characteristics and sweetness.
(Proper brewing temp and ratios are very important with this premium coffee)
